We opened in 1962, when Escaldes-Engordany was still a thermal village between mountains. Since then we've changed many things — and kept the ones that matter.
The Espel is a small hotel in the gentle sense of the word: small enough to remember your name, big enough that you'll never feel like you're at a chain. We cook with local producers, open the windows at dawn, and leave the watches at the door.
